Australian and New Zealand Events

ANZGITA looks forward to participating again in the following industry events in 2021.  As always, we invite you to support the developing AsiaPacific gastroenterology community in its important work. Our thanks for their continued support go to the organisers of SIES, GENCA, and GESA for AGW.

GESA AGW will run a re-imagined format as GESA AGW Virtual 2020. It will begin Saturday 21 November and run over a week.

AGW  12-14 September 2021 in Brisbane

Barbara Hines, who has joined our marketing committee, volunteers her time to organise our attendance.  It is terrific to see our trainers catching up with each other and to talk face-to-face with those in the supplier world who support our work. Most importantly we get to talk with more people across the industry about our work.

WGO World Digestive Health Day - 29 May 2021

Every 29th May, the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO), in collaboration with the WGO Foundation (WGOF), celebrates World Digestive Health Day (WDHD) and initiates a yearlong, worldwide, public health campaign through more than 110 WGO Member Societies which reach over 50,000 individuals worldwide, WGO Training Centers, Regional Affiliate Associations and other WGO global partners. Each year focuses upon a particular digestive disease and/or disorder in order to increase general public awareness of prevention, prevalence, diagnosis, management and treatment of the disease and/or disorder.  ANZGITA will participate next year - stay tuned for more information on next year's  theme. Learn the history of WDHD here.
