Dr Chris Kiely
Chris Kiely is Program Leader for ANZGITA’s Timor-Leste training programs run in partnership with the national hospital, Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares (HNGV). For two years (2016 to 2018) Dr Kiely was based in Dili, Timor-Leste. While there he re-established Timor-Leste’s only endoscopy unit at HNGV. Following an agreed MoU with HNGV, ANZGITA ran the first training program in 2017. Chris is in regular contact with the unit and provides it with support as required.

- standards and protocols in place for safe and effective endoscopy treatment
- a clinic for antiviral treatment for patients with hepatitis B
- the microbiome in inflammatory bowel disease
- pregnancy in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
- novel treatments for autoimmune hepatitis
- hepatitis B virus treatment
- acetarsol for the treatment of refractory proctitis
- the safety of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tubes (PEG tubes)
- bowel cancer diagnosis
- Clostridium difficile infection
- immunotherapy-related colitis
