Funding ANZGITA's work
Funding is received from multiple sources; the gastroenterology community, philanthropy, individuals and government, and in multiple forms - financial and in-kind, one-off donation or a lump sum spread over multiple years. To continue we require strong on-going relationships with a number of funding organisations and individuals for:
- Delivery of existing training programs including support for travel, accommodation and other out-of-pocket expenses that can be a disincentive for prospective trainers who are keen to volunteer their time
- Expansion of programs both in terms of the services provided and countries where we work
- Equipment and materials acquisition and maintenance
- Specialised high level training out-of-country
- Administration of the association
- Benchtop sterilisers
- Variceal banders
- Webinars & mentoring management
- Transport of equipment etc to partner centres
- Scholarships (within Pacific and to ANZ)
We invite you to invest in the future of gastroenterology practice in AsiaPacific, to help build self-sustaining communities of committed and skilled medical practitioners who employ best practice to treat people in need. Exercise your social responsibility by supporting the highly reputed ANZGITA Training Programs and the medical centres with which we partner.

Except for Fiji where their High Commission manages them, we normally need to fund the transport of the generous in-kind donations received in Australia to our partner centres from monetary donations. Examples include equipment for the new unit at Honiara's NRH, reprocessing chemicals donated by Whiteley Corp for all our Pacific centres, accessories and repaired scopes.
