Dr Lily Pham is currently a medical registrar in Brisbane and will be a Gastro AT in 2025. She has worked alongside TIME UQ and AMSA Global Health previously and believe they were instrumental to her professional development as a clinician. However, at times, Lily saw a gap between how I was able to make a difference as a student and what that would look like as she progressed through training to become a consultant / clinician. She believes there are definitely options to do public health work non-clinically, but allowing students to see that working clinicians/ specialists can also make huge impact in their chosen specialist area is really important too.
